## Overview

Traditional CPaaS providers (like Twilio or MessageBird) charge a markup on every WhatsApp message you send.

OTP Edge flips this model: **You pay us a flat-rate monthly SaaS subscription, and you pay Meta directly for your message usage.** There are zero markups per message from our side.

To facilitate this, OTP Edge supports a "Bring Your Own WABA" (WhatsApp Business Account) architecture.

## How to Connect

Connecting your Meta account is instant. Navigate to the **Integrations** tab in your OTP Edge dashboard and provide the following three credentials:

1. **Phone Number ID**: The unique ID of the phone number registered in your WhatsApp Manager.
2. **WhatsApp Business Account ID**: The ID of your overarching WABA.
3. **Permanent Access Token**: A system user token generated in the Meta Developer Portal with `whatsapp_business_messaging` and `whatsapp_business_management` permissions.

## Security

Your Access Token is highly sensitive. When you save your Meta credentials in OTP Edge, the token is encrypted using AES-256-GCM before being stored in our database. It is only decrypted in memory at the exact moment a message needs to be dispatched to Meta's API.
